Warranty

New products sold by EstiPos are subject to the 2-year claim submission period for individuals set out in Section 218(2) of the Estonian Commercial Code.

A one-year warranty period applies to legal entities.

The claim submission period begins on the date indicated on the shipping document prepared at the time the goods were delivered to the customer. Within 2 years, we will repair a defective product free of charge, provided that the defect is the fault of the manufacturer and the customer provides the original purchase document. If the product cannot be repaired, the customer has the right to demand a replacement of the product or to withdraw from the contract. The above applies provided that the product has been used only under the conditions and for the purpose intended for it and that the defect is not caused by external conditions (thunderstorm, voltage fluctuations, inadequate ventilation, leaked batteries, fire, flooding, etc.) or improper handling of the product. The right to demand free repair of the product expires before the end of 2 years if: a. when bringing the product for repair, the purchase document for the product requiring repair is not presented or if the data on it has been arbitrarily changed; b. the serial and model number of the product has been changed, removed, placed in another place or is illegible; c. the design of the product has been arbitrarily changed, regardless of the extent or how qualified it has been done, or if the product has been taken for repair elsewhere than to the manufacturer's representative office or a repair shop accepted by us; d. the product has failed due to the user's fault as a result of improper operation, as well as in the event of defects arising from failure to follow the instructions for use or careless storage of the product. In the event that a defect appears in the goods purchased by the consumer for which the seller is responsible (VÕS § 218 (2)), the seller will arrange transport to the customer's location and back (VÕS § 222 (4)).

The warranty is valid within the territory of the Republic of Estonia.

Expertise – an expertise performed by the EstiPois maintenance department (in some cases also by the product importer) to determine the existence and cause of a defect in the product.

Independent expertise – an additional paid expertise performed at the customer’s request by an independent expert in the event that the customer is not satisfied with the results of the expertise performed by EstiPois.eu

The warranty covers the costs of repairing design, manufacturing and material defects and defects caused to the device due to these defects.

The following sales warranty terms and conditions apply to the products:
warranty for batteries, accumulators and chargers – 6 months.
computer accessories, including those that were assembled according to a special order when purchasing or later upgrading the computer, have a sales warranty of 12 months
external devices (printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, etc.) and separately purchased parts have a sales warranty of 12 months
the sales invoice is the document proving the validity of the warranty on the purchased product
Electrolux and AEG products are subject to a warranty of up to 6 months for legal entities

The maintenance/repair period lasts from 7 to 30 calendar days. In exceptional cases, if the goods are sent for warranty maintenance/repair to another EU member state, the warranty process may last from 14 to 70 calendar days, depending on the nature of the product. We emphasize that in any case we will try to complete the warranty maintenance process in the shortest possible time.

THE SALES WARRANTY DOES NOT EXCEED:
floppies, CD/DVD discs, packaging, documentation, consumables, licenses, software and installation media;
malfunctions in the operation of the product caused by accidental or intentional damage by the user;
malfunctions in the operation of the device caused by changes in the technical characteristics of the device carried out by a person or service not certified by the manufacturer;
malfunctions in operation caused by disregarding the product's user manual;
errors caused by software;
cleaning of the device;
using the device for training purposes;
malfunctions in the operation of the product caused by using the product in environmental conditions not intended for it. This also includes computer parts handled incorrectly by the customer or third parties;
malfunctions in the operation of the device caused by lightning or some other natural phenomenon (force majeure);
malfunctions caused by connecting a computer or other device to an improper power supply (including an ungrounded power supply);
malfunctions in the operation of the product caused by connecting devices that are under power;
malfunctions caused by software installed in the product by the customer;
computer failures caused by the customer's failure to comply with the parameters specified by the manufacturer for computer components;
products and parts whose serial numbers, control stickers or marking stickers have been damaged, changed or removed.

EstiPois IS NOT RESPONSIBLE:
for the preservation of information on the device brought in for repair, as well as if data or software on the computer is damaged or corrupted during warranty repair.
for failure to eliminate product defects if the defect did not appear during warranty repair and its occurrence was not registered when the product was brought in for warranty repair.
During the warranty period provided by the manufacturer/seller for the goods, the customer may submit a claim to EstiPois.eu for the goods' intended purpose
about circumstances that prevent the use or storage of the product, which are caused by defects in the quality of the goods. The consumer's claim is resolved in accordance with applicable legislation.

The claim must be submitted in Estonian and described as clearly as possible regarding the defect in the product.

The consumer's claim is not subject to resolution if EstiPoisi proves that the defects in the use of the goods have arisen through the fault of the consumer.

EstiPoisi is obliged to conduct an expert examination at the customer's request or, if necessary, order an independent expert examination to determine the causes of the defect in the item. If the expert examination shows that the detail is in order or the defect is not covered by the warranty, the customer will pay the expert examination costs.

The costs incurred in connection with equipment brought for warranty service without reason (if the defect is not caused by a defect from the manufacturer or the product's warranty conditions have been violated) will be paid by the buyer (applies only if 6 months have passed since the item was handed over to the consumer).

In such a case, EstiPoisi has the right to invoice the customer for the work performed so far in accordance with the valid price list.

Warranty replacement. If the repair of the product proves impossible, or its production has been discontinued, EstiPois reserves the right (with the customer's consent) to replace the product with an equivalent one.

A new warranty of the same duration as the original sales warranty is granted to the replaced item during the warranty period.

In the event of a device being repaired during the warranty period, the (sales) warranty is extended by the duration of the repair.

The sales warranty does not exclude or limit the buyer's right to use other legal remedies arising from the law or contract.
